Criminal Justice Instructor
Seeking a Full-Time instructor to teach Criminal Justice courses at our Grand Island, NE Campus.
The individual will need to be open to teaching courses on our Hastings Campus and Kearney Center as student demand increases. Currently, the Criminal Justice Program is available on all campuses and centers utilizing technology platforms for exceptional delivery. Courses will be delivered with a focus in Lecture style-Internet Protocol/Satellite courses and will include various methods such as traditional lectures and web-based formats (Online, WebEx, Hybrid, Web-Blended, etc). Program support activities, reporting assignments, student advising, curriculum design, promotion & recruiting, participation with various adjunct faculty from all campuses/centers and committee participation will be required.
Position requires the following core instructional duties; but not limited to:
- Update assigned program courses, outlines, and curriculum.
- Prepare materials for assigned courses.
- Participate in the selection of textbooks for assigned courses.
- Maintain an awareness of recent research developments and trends in education and the program area and apply this information to assigned courses.
- Provide instruction in technology appropriate to the job market.
- Use a variety of methods and materials to deliver assigned courses that may include individualized, lectures, discussions, web-based classes, multimedia materials in the classroom, etc.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to meet course goals and objectives that may include hands-on, problem-based, project-based, team teaching, professional speakers, tours, etc.
- Integrate student assessment into student learning activities and curriculum.
- Complete Assessment of Student learning report, Program Review and Universal Design compliance within the Criminal Justice program.
