Director, Emergency Medical Science
Responsible for the planning, programming, instruction, and evaluation of the Emergency Medical Science (EMS) related program offerings within the Division of Continuing Education (CE) and Curriculum (CU). Participate in the overall program evaluation to maintain compliance with the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Science Programs (CoAEMSP). Assist with hiring, evaluation, performance management, and professional development of full-time and/or part-time faculty/staff; maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress; participate in budget planning, preparation, and execution; and fulfill responsibilities as a full-time faculty/staff employee. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, a current North Carolina paramedic credential, and a North Carolina Paramedic Level I Instructor Certification and must obtain a North Carolina Paramedic Level II Instructor Certification within twelve (12) months of hire date. A minimum of two (2) years paramedic experience is required. Advanced EMS education lead instructor experience, community college teaching experience, and supervisory experience, preferred.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Salary: Based on education and experience.
