A Call for Adjunct Faculty

 

The Office of Academic Affairs at Columbia-Greene Community College wants to build its part-time adjunct faculty pool.  We are seeking qualified candidates to teach college-level and developmental courses in the following academic divisions:

 

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Business, Mathematics, and Technology
  • Natural and Social Sciences
  • Health Professions

 

Immediate openings on-campus for Fall 2024:

 

  • Anatomy and Physiology (daytime, traditional section)
  • Human Biology (evening, on-campus)
  • Psychology (2 sections, on-campus, and one remote)

 

The courses taught could potentially be online or in-person on the Hudson campus. 

 

In addition, Columbia-Greene offers a Prison Education Program (PEP); if you are interested in teaching courses for the PEP, please include that information in your cover letter.

Excluding a few technical and specialized programs (such as Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, and Medical Assisting), the following minimum qualifications are required:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Completion of an application and a background check

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous teaching experience
  • Experience teaching in multiple modalities

 

Benefit Information

 

Starting salary is $900 per credit hour and will be commensurate with education and experience. Some benefits include New York State Retirement options, supplemental retirement and life insurance options and employee tuition waiver.
