Hitachi Zosen Inova USA, a Leader in Energy from Waste facilities is looking for a superior individual to head up the maintenance of their first Anaerobic Digestion facility in the US, located in San Luis Obispo, CA.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Mechanic performs or directs other maintenance personnel in performing skilled mechanical and electrical work in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the facility in compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules all maintenance activities, troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues, performs all maintenance activities and/or coordinates maintenance subcontractors, takes an active role in working with operations in prioritizing maintenance work to be executed, follows up and checks on all job activities throughout the shift to ensure all work assignments are completed correctly and as requested, advises and helps complete work, sets up and pre-stages parts from the warehouse to expedite work, completes reports to the Daily Log with notations concerning future work, ensures that all time worked is recorded on completed work orders, communicates and demonstrates safe work practices on all job, ensures that all job assignment work areas are cleaned of used parts, debris, and tools upon completion of work, ensures that work accidents or incidents involving crew members resulting in injury to persons or damage to property are reported and works with operations on as-needed basis to backfill performing operations tasks.
Desired Qualifications include the following: Good troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Siemens control systems, ability to calibrate sensors, 5+ years as a Multicraft Mechanic, with substantial experience in one or more of the following specialties: Controls, electrician, welder, machinist, pipe/pump/valve technician, or millwright, must understand the principles of operation, function and construction of the anaerobic digestion plant, must have completed training and obtain forklift operator certification, must possess a High School diploma or GED, must be knowledgeable in using maintenance related software, must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English. Specific expertise in resource recovery material handling is preferred. Position includes full benefits (health, dental, vision) paid vacation, sick leave, 401K with 5% company match. Salary DOE.
