Polk State College invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost for Academic Affairs and Workforce Education.

The Provost for Academic Affairs and Workforce Education oversees the curriculum, faculty appointments, and other academically related areas of the College and has oversight for the learning initiatives of the divisions of Academic Affairs and Workforce Education. As the Chief Academic Officer, the Provost provides visionary and strategic leadership to promote and foster excellence in all aspects of the College’s mission as directed by the President. The Provost works collaboratively as a member of the President’s leadership team on long-range planning, implementation, and continuous improvement for the institutional strategic plan and on other relevant College-wide matters. The Provost provides collaborative administrative leadership and oversight required for the highest level of quality in the College’s comprehensive range of learning initiatives. The position requires a leadership style that exemplifies Polk State College’s Core Values of Service, Integrity, Knowledge, Diversity, and Leadership.

Polk State College, located in Central Florida, is part of the Florida College System that consists of 28 state colleges. The College is a multi-campus institution with a total of seven locations across Polk County including three collegiate high schools.
