PORT San Luis Harbor District Avila Beach, CA is looking to hire BEACH LIFEGUARDS SALARY: $16.21 - $20.68/hour Seasonal from April 13 through October 28 with lifeguards on duty full-time from June 1 through September 3, 2018. TYPICAL DUTIES: Provides safe conditions for the users of the public beach by providing careful watch over beach activity from stationary posts. Advises patrons of the dangerous conditions, rules and regulations; provides lifesaving assistance to the bathers in surf and open water; uses rescue cans, rescue boards and other rescue equipment to aid those in distress. Administers first aid, rescue breathing and CPR; obtains emergency equipment and assistance from outside agencies; keeps accurate records and logs, and writes reports. Other duties as required.
