Established in 1949, they have grown into a regional and national industrial equipment supplier, providing a combination of value-added technical services, engineering, consultation, and quality products to a variety of markets. They provide mission-critical equipment to a wide variety of industries including Fortune 500 companies.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities related to the payroll function and assisting with Accounts Payable or other Accounting and Administrative functions.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Payroll duties including, but not limited to: processing bi-monthly payroll, maintaining payroll system, onsite checks, verifying supporting documents, processing agency timecards/invoices
- Posting payroll journal entries to the GL, and completing related reconciliations
- Monthly Worker's Compensation reporting
- Assist with annual 401k Census and Audit
- Annual W2 preparation
- Assist with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable and other accounting duties such as Return-to-Vendor account monitoring, credit card reconciliations, Fixed Asset record maintenance and journal entries, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in Payroll processing
- Payroll Certification
- Experience with payroll processing system
Skills Needed:
- Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, garnishments
- Accounts Payable experience preferred, other accounting and general office experience considered
- Very organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
Work Schedule:
- M-F Days
Pay: Up to $28/hr. depending on skills and qualifications
