Human Resources Administrator (two positions)

Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 62 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University Human Resources Office has an exciting opportunity for two (2) Human Resources Administrators to join their team and support the full employee life cycle.

Primary Job Duties: For assigned divisions or departments, perform a variety of Human Resources related duties at the professional level as a business partner who understands the culture, strategic priorities and tactical realities of their customer. Provide consultative guidance, present HR solutions or initiatives, and support employee engagement and organizational development. Develops, implements, administers and is responsible for handling faculty and staff matters related to some or all of the following functional areas: Recruitment and employment to include immigration; Classification and Compensation policies and programs; support for contracts, policies and related HR administration; Employee and Labor Relations, Professional Development Training; HRIS (PeopleSoft); and all other HR-facets of the employment life-cycle. Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Five to seven years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree required.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. 

Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or related field; Higher Education experience; Workday experience; and HR professional certification preferred.

These are full-time, exempt, State positions with full benefits packages.  Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
