Interim Executive Director
The Southside Network Authority, formed by the Cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as an Interim Executive Director to lead the Authority during its initial start-up for the next six to nine months. The Authority will be responsible for providing oversight and management for the planning, design, operation and management of the Southside fiber ring and the regional broadband initiative. To advance this initiative, the Authority is seeking the services of an interim Executive Director to provide the following services:
- Provide administrative staff support to the Authority
- Provide oversight for the final design work for the Southside Fiber Ring (design to be completed by a professional consultant)
- Develop and implement an interim communications plan
- Develop an organizational strategic plan that will include an identification of staff needs and resources for the Authority
- Prepare an operational budget for the Authority’s first year of operation
