The UIHC Department of Radiology is now advertising for an Instructional Services Specialist- Clinical Coordinator, Radiation Therapy Program.
Position Summary:
Provide support of the missions, goals and objectives of The University of Iowa’s Baccalaureate Degree in the Radiation Sciences within the Carver College of Medicine. Contribute to strategic educational, enrollment, retention and graduation goals of the University by upholding academic integrity and creating and implementing academic policies, procedures, programs and services that foster an excellent educational experience, promote student engagement, and support student success
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Director to assure effective program operation.
- Support the Program Director in periodic review and revision of all relevant didactic and clinical course materials.
- Coordinate clinical rotation schedules for students and participate in didactic and clinical instruction.
- Develop and distribute clinical rotations, clinical policies/procedures and didactic assignments and to students and relevant instructors.
- Provide continuous evaluation of students with periodic reviews to ensure didactic knowledge corresponds with clinical performance.
- Routinely visit clinical sites and meet with clinical instructors maintaining affiliation agreements required by the JRCERT.
